My nearest LNS closed last weekend. Today they were finishing up moving out all the furniture and fixtures. DH and I poked our heads in. We were in the neighborhood. Wished the ex-LNS owner good luck in whatever she does next. Store had been doing well, too. She says she just needed a break. Too bad she wasn’t able to hire someone to take the helm for a month or three while she took that break, or that she wasn’t able to find someone buy the store to instead of closing it. Very sad. Sure, there are JoAnn and Michaels stores all over the place, but it’s just not the same. The employees at my local Michaels don’t even know what Mill Hill beads are much less why I would want them. Sigh. And they don’t come close to having a full supply of floss colors, must less all the specialty fibers, personal service. And their floss is on those awful turnstiles that DMC introduced last year. Horrid things. Definitely going to miss that LNS…
