Verbal vs. visual

I’m very visual. If I can’t see something, in front of my eyes, in front of my face, I have a difficult time understanding it. My husband, OTOH, is completely and totally verbal. He doesn’t visualize anything. Doesn’t dream in pictures. Doesn’t daydream in technicolor. Doesn’t “see” anything at all in pictures. It’s difficult for me to conceptualize. But it’s equally as difficult for him to “see” anything that I do, unless I can draw something for him to look at, to see, so that he can draw a description in words. Very odd. People are so different from one another. Makes it interesting. Makes it fun. But…
