Knitting fanlisting

Had to join. Have to have that totally cool pile-o-yarn in my sidebar. Been knitting off and on since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Grandma taught me how to cast on and do a knit stitch one day when I was in gradeschool (she was undoubtedly tired of answering questions about… Whatever… ). I […]

Jim

Thursday, June 30, 2005

I was just reading Angi’s post about losing her father-in-law earlier this week (hugs). As such things do, it reminded me of my cousin, Jim. It’s been 14 years since he died, and I still miss him terribly. I think I probably always will. Jim was one of only four first cousins that I had […]

Detective qualities

There’s a workaround for the blogger bug that worked on my blog, anyway. Hopefully it will work on yours, as well. It’s so nice to have my blog looking normal again. Whew.

Bah

Well, I inserted the code that’s supposed to fix this weird layout problem, and it didn’t. I’m not using the template they said has caused the most problems, either, so guess I’m not surprised. Definitely disappointed, though. Tired of it looking this way! Argh. Please fix the layout problem, guys. Please!

My bookclub edition of Elizabeth Peters’ Serpent on the Crown just arrived. Can’t wait to start! But, I will. For a couple days, anyway. Want to finish up the Colin Dexter I have going first. Yippeee! It’s here!

Sock yarn

Monday, June 27, 2005

The self striping sock yarn I got recently is staring at me. I’ve been wanting to make progress on my green cardigan before starting in on the socks, but the green cardigan is wool. And big. And heavy. And it’s been quite warm out. And the sock yarn keeps reminding me that socks aren’t nearly […]
