Painting progress July 30, 2005
I took these photos a couple of days ago. The green paint on the house is primer. Dave thinks it’s one of the most horrible colors ever. I kind of like it. But then, I’ve always liked green. He doesn’t. Doesn’t much matter since it’ll be painted over with another color anyway. This is the front of the house. You can see the wooden side of the driveway that won’t be painted on this go-around. It’s just going to be removed when we get around to having the driveway fixed, anyway, so it’s pointless to paint it now.
This is the east chimney, the one that used to have the owls living in it. It has all its new wood installed, and has been primed. Looking good!
And here’s the west chimney. They weren’t supposed to add the plywood to this side. It was a total surprise to us. But this way it’ll match the one on the other side. They’ve attached the plywood to the old tongue-and-groove planks.
