Winding the Skeins August 24, 2005
I finally have a new cross stitch chart that I want. The more I look at it, the more I want to stitch HAED’s adaptation of Lord Frederick Leighton’s painting, Winding the Skeins. Dave would probably want to kill me! It has people he doesn’t know in it. Not only that, but it would take forever to stitch (stitch count is 450w X 280h), so he’d get bored with seeing it all the time, and I’d want to keep it around instead of giving it away like I did Sleeping Beauty. Not only that, but I don’t think my largest frame is big enough to hold the fabric, so I’d have to get another one. Hm. All that aside, it’s quite tempting. The more I look at it, the more I want it. I just wonder what I’ll do with it when I’m done!

I just discovered HAED myself. I ordered 2 pieces: Black Magick(Galbreth)and Snow Princess(Sanderson). Will I ever finish them; probably not, but it’s worth a try. Goldenkite also has a couple knitting themed cross stitch pieces; they are kind of expensive though.
