The Knit List September 15, 2005
Judging by the post history on their Yahoo page, The Knit List is still a very busy place. This pleases me. I was on the knit list years ago (back in its infancy in the late 90s), when I was doing telephone support, and wasn’t very busy. I needed something to do between calls, and reading the knit list posts was a great way to tie in with the knitting community, relax, learn new things, and have a lot of fun. I was on the list when tinking and frogging became popular terms, and when the peep jousting hit the knitting community by storm one spring. I was saddened when work got busy enough that I could no longer keep up. For a while I tried subscribing in digest mode and printing everything out to read later, and that just didn’t work for me. It’s totally cool to see their web page, and archived posts and patterns out there. I may have to go take a look around for old time’s sake.
