Gads

Can’t believe I haven’t blogged since Thursday. But then, maybe I can. I got up about 3 a.m. (not really by choice) on Thursday, and had a rather busy day. Then on Friday I arose at 2 a.m. after going to bed at about 10. Can you say, “wasted”? Arg. Very tired. I could barely focus. This didn’t keep me from burying my nose in a book all day Friday, though it did keep me from making my normal Friday run to the post office, or doing anything else remotely useful. Actually got some sleep on Saturday, but this morning, after going to bed at midnight (we were at an outdoor summer symphony all evening) I was up again about 2. Ick. Thankfully, I was able to get to sleep again at about 6 a.m., and slept until 10. Total of six hours sleep. Usually that’s fine. But what with the general lack of sleep lately, I’m still rather rummy. The really horrid thing is that for the last several days I’ve been way too tired to knit or cross-stitch, so no progress has been made on anything since mid-week. And I have Amble socks to finish by the end of the month! Not looking good for that right now. Drat.

We’ve spent this afternoon at our favorite local pub. Instead of imbibing in my favored IPA, I’ve been drinking iced tea and pink lemonade. Tragic. Too tired for beer. What’s this world coming to, I ask you?

While here, having fun surfing some knitting blogs. Found a great page that suits me to a T: I’m a Bad Ass Knitter. All you have to do is see my trunk full of yarn, and shelves full of knitting books, and projects on the hoof to see that this is true. I can’t say I’ve ever apologized for my knitting, either. Not that I recall, anyway, and I’ve been knitting—off and on, anyway—for a good many years.
