Moebius scarf September 24, 2005
I first heard of moebius scarves when I was a regular reader of the knit list back in the late 90s (that sounds so strange!). At the time, no one on the list had been able to figure out how to make one without simply making a basic scarf, putting a twist in, then seaming the two ends. Always seemed to me like there should be a way to do it. Dave’s always looks at me cross-eyed when I bring it up. He doesn’t think it possible. Just the other day, Jeanie on the Townsend Sock KAL list shared a link to a neat book, A Treasury of Magical Knitting. Seems the author Cat Bordhi, has invented a moebius cast on that’s easy to do, and will win you a real moebius scarf (among other things), when knitted up. Oooh.
