Play or movie?

I have a friend who, when she’s not writing proposals for her employer, writes plays. She’s getting a reasonable reputation with some of the small non-equity (not professional) playhouses in the area. She contracted to write a play for a small local playhouse. The play is nearly done. The first performance will be in November. This is a multi-media play. For part of the thing, the audience will get out of their chairs, and visit different rooms in the theater where different scenes will be acted out, and different things will be happening. In one of the rooms, they’ll show a film of the stuff they’ll be recording at my house today. It’s going to be a busy day. The film crew is going to be here around 8 a.m., with most of the actors and other personnel showing up about an hour later. I have a feeling I’m not going to get much stitching or knitting in during the day…

It’ll be interesting to see how Ricki deals with the day’s festivities.
