New purse! October 20, 2005
My mother decided to give me a little present when we were up visiting her a couple weeks ago, and presented me with a check. The only catch is I’m supposed to buy clothes with it. I can do that. Yesterday I wandered over to Mervyn’s where they’re having this big sale, and the only thing I found that I liked was a purse. But ya know, I haven’t had a new purse in years and years. After digging through my closet at all my old purses recently, I discovered that they’re all black. Every one of them. I thought for sure I must have something that’s not black, dug a little more. Nope. Even the evening bags are black. Hrmph. So, I made a point of not buying another black purse yesterday, and got this spiffy burgundy one (yes, even it was on sale). Yahoozie! There’s the magnetic clasp that folds over the top with a big zippered compartment under it. Inside that are two non-zipped compartments, one in the center that is zipped, a small zippered area on one side, and a couple pouches on the other that are perfect for cell phone, pens, etc. I’m stylin’. My stuff all fits in it, and there’s still room for a paperback book.
In case you’re wondering, yes, I’m still planning on knitting a new bag, but now it doesn’t have to be quite as big, as it doesn’t have to be my primary bag any longer. Ta da!
