Kiri and Santa November 11, 2005
This blogging without photos thing is for the birds. I decided to chance it this afternoon, collected everything in one spot by a window, and took a couple pictures. This stupid camera battery—still hoping it’s the battery and not the camera—I swear. Last time I turned it on for only a couple minutes to take then download two or three photos it had 24 minutes of battery time left. Today it had only seven minutes. Argh!

Anyway, here’s a picture of the knit blob that is Kiri. Doesn’t help that I’m half way through a purl row. I know it’ll look a lot different after blocking. At least, I hope it does! See that loop of yarn coming up off the right edge? That’s all that was left of the first ball of yarn when I got to the end of the row. See why I was sweating it? On the left, of course, is ball number two with only one and a half rows knit out of it.
And here’s Benevolent Gent. I’ve made such good progress on him that I decided I’m going to continue stitching on him until he’s done. The blue-garbed baby doll, present, and wheel (the wheel is the white and red blob under the package that has the thread hanging down from it) are where the heel turns to go down to the foot of the stocking. I’m going to have lots of time to stitch next week, so you never know how far I’ll get…
