I have never in my life purchased anything from Mary Maxim, though from time-to-time I’ve been on their mailing list. Imagine my surprise when I received not just a catalog, but a free ball of yarn from them in yesterday’s mail! All I can think of is that at some point I must have signed up for something at some point, but I sure don’t remember doing it. Silly me. Anyway, I now am the proud (?) owner of one ball of Bernat’s eyelash yarn, Disco, in Mr. Brown—a pretty rusty sort of brown that’s all sparkly.

The three free patterns that arrived with the yarn all take more than one ball of the stuff. Anyone have any suggestions for something I can making using just this one ball of Disco? It’s only 52 yards, knits up as a bulky, and I want to use it as is… I won’t be adding it as trim to a sweater or any other garment.
