Turkish Cast On Tutorial December 19, 2005
I’m finally getting caught up on some of the email I got through the Townsend Sock KAL when I was on vacation… In November! One post of note had a link for this interesting-looking method of casting on, called the Turkish Cast On in Debi’s blog. I’m definitely going to have to revisit this one when I’m more awake. She has tons of photos, so you can really see what’s going on.

I’ve been toying with the idea of trying this cast on for top down mittens. Do you think it would work? I’ve never seen a pattern for them, but I have some leftovers that I would like to use up and thought it might be a good way.
