Me me me memes

Stacey thought she was the last blogger to do this one, but it clearly isn’t so, since I’ve yet to do it. Here goes:

Four movies you would watch over and over:
Harry Potter series
Runaway Bride
A Knight’s Tale
Dirty Dancing

Chico
San Luis Obispo
Oyten, Germany

Four TV shows you love to watch:
Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis
Battlestar Gallactica (Do you see a theme here?)

Outside playing!

I’m thinking here of any story that is split into more than one volume, stories such as Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, Rowling’s Harry Potter volumes, Eddings’ Belgariad, to name just a few. Christie’s Hercule Perot stories do not count, nor do Gardner’s Sherlock Holmes stories, as the reader can consume them in any order. Savvy?

  1. Do you enjoy reading multi-volume stories? Absolutely.
  2. Do you prefer the shorter stories that are done in two or three volumes, or do you willingly go for longer tales? It doesn’t really matter. I’ll keep reading, no matter how many volumes there are, so long as my interest is kept and the story maintains its integrity.
  3. What do you like/dislike about these long tales? I enjoy the feeling of really getting into the characters’ lives, seeing what makes them tick, getting to know them well. Sometimes I get too involved in their lives, and I really miss them when I’m done reading the story, so much so that I’ll often re-read an entire volume (or more) as soon as I’m done. It can be difficult to break out of their world and start reading something different. LOL
