No. I won’t. I’m not going to participate in the Yarn Harlot’s Knitting Olympics. I’m absolutely not going to cave. I’m more than happy to be in Margene’s Enjoy the Process KAL instead.
However, as with the athletic version of the games, I’ve been watching the progress avidly… And the knitting hasn’t even begun! I’ve always loved fictional stories based in Wales. I know where Wales is. I’ve wanted to go to Wales as long as I can remember. Their flag is awesome. I have an overwhelming fondness for daffodils. According to the rules that’s enough to get me in, I’m official. Well, I would be if I were participating. Since I’m not, I’ll just consider that my support is official instead of my participation. This doesn’t mean that I won’t be rooting Team USA along, as I will. But I do always like to root for the underdog, so Wales will be receiving an equal amount of cheering from this sideline.
