Moebius scarf is nearly done January 31, 2006
I got bored, so I stopped.
But not before I did two lace rows separated by two purl rows. You can see the eyelets in the photo. They go around both edges. I read in a number of places how important a loose bind-off is for this type of scarf, and I certainly wouldn’t want it to pull in on the edges. The loosest bind-off I could think of is crochet, so that’s what I did. As I got to each stitch I’d slip it off the needle onto my crochet hook, and single crochet it to the stitch that was already on the hook. Does that make sense? Anyway, I ended up with a nice loose edge that is not so loose that it wavers or wobbles.
Now I just need to soak the scarf a couple times to hopefully get rid of the icky feel and excess dye, then wash and block it. Then I’ll do something about the ends. Blocking it should be interesting. Difficult to get it to lay flat. LOL
