Another purple update February 21, 2006
I’ve been knitting 
along on my purple sock. The gussets are done, and I’m working my way down the foot. In another four or five pattern repeats, I might even be ready to start the toe decreases. As an added bonus, I finally knit up all the loose yarn that was wound around the ball from the first time I ripped out this sock last fall. Yeeha.
Speaking of “yeeha,” I’m really getting close to having this flower done now. I’d be a little closer, but I had to frog part of the right stem. I think I’m going to have to frog a little bit of the left one as well. We’ll see, but I’m pretty sure there’s a mistake in the dark green, and I even think I know where it is. I don’t 
think I’ll have to rip out too many stitches, though. Thank goodness. I just hate ripping out those tiny, over-1 stitches. It’s hard enough seeing them well enough to put them in! 
When I went into the family room to get a picture of the purple sock, I saw this very happy kitty curled up on the couch, and had to snap a photo. I don’t know if you can see it, but her eyes are open a tiny bit, and she’s peeking at me.

The sock is looking great! And so is the purple rose. I know what you mean about frogging over 1. It’s a nightmare, so I hope that you won’t have to do too much more of it.
And thank you for the kitty photo. She is just beautiful and since I’ve unfortunately developed an allergy, I have to live through other people’s photos. I just wish I could reach through and pet her!
