Sterling Silver rose is done! February 27, 2006
I started this project,
according to my notes, on May 10, 2003. There was a big gap in there when I decided that the original fabric was too awful for words, and that it was worthwhile to restart it on something else. But still, three years is three years, and it’s an awfully long time to work on one project. I finished it Saturday night, February 25, 2006, while watching the winter Olympics in Torino. Here’s the info on the piece.
- Sterling Silver by The Silver Lining
- Stitch count is 297 high by 197 wide
- Finished size is approximately 10.5 high by 7 inches wide
- Fabric is 28-count Waterlily Jobelan
- Stitched one over one

I can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said, but this piece is GORGEOUS! Purple is my favorite color, so I’m a little biased, but there is just so much stitching that went into it. A very worthwhile endeavor and I can’t wait to see it framed!

It’s stunning. And the colour of the fabric complements the piece perfectly. Well done. Ann.
