Ugliest baby blanket ever

I hope my friend doesn’t think so. I hope the baby doesn’t think so (he’s guaranteed to, if the blanket lives that long). I hope the ladies at the shower don’t think so. But I do. I’m not sure if Dave thinks it’s that ugly, per se, but the fact that it’s not a regular shape bothers him. It’s Julie's baby blanket - doneso bad that there’s the cat over on the right, checking it out, not walking on it. Have you ever know a cat to not walk on a hand-made blanket when it’s laid out on the floor? Me neither. But ya know, I really didn’t use a pattern (you can tell), and I changed my mind about what I wanted to do about every five minutes (you can tell). And that’s the yarn I already had. So, that’s what I made. That’s what poor Julie gets. Well, all I can say is that it’s big enough to cover the baby for a while, when it’s tucked in around him you’ll never know it’s not square (or rectangular or anything normal) and it’ll go in the washer and dryer. I figure the washer/dryer thing is its most important attribute.

Here’s a positive though- the shape is good for little ones…. The area where it fans out is perfect to line up with the baby’s arms where most like to wrap around the body - does this make sense? (fold up the bottom over legs, wrap the left side to the righ, then right to the left…)

I quite like the shape - not ugly at all :) Anyway, it’s made with love and that’s the point!

I agree with patternnuts, I was going to say the same thing about the shape. Also, the colors are perfect for a baby - bright colors are very stimulating for their minds. :) No worries, it’s a great gift!

Washability is a fantastic feature, and the shape is actually quite nice! :)
