Traveling and stitching

This week’s SBQ was SBQsuggested by Anna M.:

What do you keep your WIPs and other stitching supplies in when traveling?

It depends. If I’m traveling by car, I tuck my floss box, scissors, etc. into my old knitting bag. If the work in progress is small enough, it gets tucked in there, too. If not, then the frame goes wherever it will fit—often in the trunk under the coats.

If I’m traveling by air, it all is stuffed into my suitcase somehow. If I take stitching. More often I’ll take a small knitting project in my carry-on (if allowed), or tucked into a corner of my suitcase. Since we often take only one suitcase for the both of us, whatever I take needs to be small.
