Blanket
My lap blanket
grew by maybe one or two garter ridges all weekend. Not a big surprise, really. The project lives here in my office, and I was hardly in here all weekend. I’ve knit eight of eighteen garter ridges of block eight. After this, only two more blocks and a border to go.
I really do need to get the back of that six-hour sweater frogged and wound up. I’ll run out of that color soon…
Wing of the Moth shawl
Vanessa finished her shawl after only two days of knitting. Wow! She didn’t even have her yarn yet when the other contestants were knitting away, and she blew everyone out of the water with her stunning finish. It’s gorgeous, too. Cheryl says the rest of them are continuing on to see who comes in second.
Visualize knit
I played with the visual thesaurus again the other day. I entered the word “knitting” and it was relatively boring, but one of the words in the cloud was “knit.” When I clicked on it, this is the cloud I got (click on the image to view it full-size). I love all the words that blossomed from “knit.”

Hmmm… you keep saying that you need to rip out the back of that old sweater. I’m still waiting to see you do it. Or will you do what I would do and wait until the last possible moment, when you are absolutely out of yarn?
