All wound up

Had to do it. Coco winding up the yarnThe choice was either spend an hour and frog the rest of the sweater, or stop knitting. What kind of choice is that? I mean, really. So, with Coco’s help, I frogged the sweater and wound the yarn onto my swift. Coco's ball is woundThen rolled it into a nice neat cake.

Then I started knitting block nine.

I think there’s a little booboo in the pattern. It says to pick up and knit a total of one hundred eight stitches from garter ridges at the edge of the blanket (I’m halving everything, so for me it’s fifty four stitches). If I did that I’d be short, or I’d miss some ridges, making that end of the blanket puckered. I ended up picking up sixty four stitches, one for each ridge. That means the pattern should say that a total of one hundred twenty eight stitches should be picked up, one for each garter ridge. This would work out much better.
