Men and women

Gads. It’s Monday already, and I still haven’t answered Deb’s great questions!

  1. Do you tend to read more books written by one gender over the other? I didn’t think so, but looking back at the books I’ve read so far this year, I’d have to say that yes, I do.
  2. If so, which one? Men? Or women? Is this a deliberate choice? Or just something that kind of happened? I have read more books written by women than by men. When I was in high school I remember specifically looking for books written by women. I don’t know if I did it long enough that it became an ingrained habit, or if I’m simply more likely to be interested in the things women write. Hm. I really don’t know. It’s not that I dislike books written by men, in fact one of my all-time favorite series was written by a man. On the whole, it does seem rather odd, though, that I’ve read more books by women authors this year.

    I’ll stop rambling now… LOL

  3. And (without wanting to get too personal), is this your gender? I am female.
