Men and women September 18, 2006
Gads. It’s Monday already, and
I still haven’t answered Deb’s great questions!
- Do you tend to read more books written by one gender over the other? I didn’t think so, but looking back at the books I’ve read so far this year, I’d have to say that yes, I do.
- If so, which one? Men? Or women? Is this a deliberate choice? Or just something that kind of happened? I have read more books written by women than by men. When I was in high school I remember specifically looking for books written by women. I don’t know if I did it long enough that it became an ingrained habit, or if I’m simply more likely to be interested in the things women write. Hm. I really don’t know. It’s not that I dislike books written by men, in fact one of my all-time favorite series was written by a man. On the whole, it does seem rather odd, though, that I’ve read more books by women authors this year.
I’ll stop rambling now… LOL
- And (without wanting to get too personal), is this your gender? I am female.
