Yarn

I’m a knitter. I love yarn. Kind of goes hand-in-hand, doesn’t it? I’ve been seeing mention of Sea Silk yarn here and there in blogs for a month or three. And today, not one, but two people (so far) blogged about it—that I know of—Jo and Kay. I had to go look, didn’t I?

With all the glorious yarns that are out there these days—what better time to be a knitter, I ask you—why do I draw attention to this one? Because it’s made from oh-so lovely silk and seaweed. Seaweed. Who would have thought of making fiber from seaweed and spinning it with silk? Well, someone did, and apparently the resulting yarn is fabulous. Certainly the colors they’re dying it are. Yeow. Gorgeous. I’d love to knit a shawl out of it. One day, perhaps.
