Sock on October 30, 2006
Seems it was a good idea to bring my Socktoberfest sock to my office. I got five more rows knit this afternoon. Yee-ha.
While sitting here knitting reading Yarn Harlot’s blog and seeing her gorgeous, newly finished feather and fan socks, I discovered that I don’t have a copy of Socks Socks Socks yet. I remember when it came out. I remember drooling over the pictures. I remember having a copy of the book in my hand at the bookstore. Why didn’t I bring it home when I had the chance (and money)? This is one of life’s little mysteries. Well, I’m adding it to my wish list in my sidebar, so I don’t completely lose it again.
And by the way, the Kitri socks that Stephanie is knitting are stunning. I love that fan pattern, and the little fan on the heel! Ooh. Personally, even with pre-strung beads, I’d find it difficult to spend thirty two dollars on a sock kit. Ouch. But ya know, they are gorgeous socks. Wish I could just get the pattern. I’d probably leave off the beads, anyway. I do like to be able to toss my socks in the washer, and they’d preclude that.
