Freya

Chris saw my finished Green Gable sweater over on the Red Sweater KAL. I took a couple photos of it, and thought I’d share them here as well. I have no idea any longer when I knit this sweater. Years ago. And, yes, you see correctly, the poor cardigan still has no buttons. I’m horrible! I even have the buttons. They’re wonderful pewter buttons with Viking ships on them. Weeee.

The good news, though, is that if you like the pattern, it’s still available. It’s the Freya sweater in Elsebeth Lavold’s Viking Patterns for Knitting. I love this book. So many wonderful cable sweaters. Creative designs. Clear instructions. At least I think I remember that being the case. Like I said, it’s been a while since I knit this.

That’s a beautiful sweater, Laura! Don’t you like it? Wouldn’t you like to wear it? Sew them there buttons on so you can wear it during the holidays girl!
Guess what? I’m knitting! Do you remember I wanted to knit socks? Well, I found a tutorial and dug in. I found I needed practice one the basics first so I knit a scarf. Now I am working on my first sock and getting ready to work on the heel. LOL…

Ummmm, why would you need buttons to wear it? I would wear it either way. Buttons would be nice, but…………….. (Just a thought)
