Weaving

Being a life-long yarn fanatic, I’ve always been interested in, attracted to things that can be made with yarn, and how to do it. I crocheted my first afghan when I was in third grade—yes, I still have it. I knit my mom the world’s ugliest vest about that time, too. Someone (a grandmother probably) gave me a table-top loom when I was in grade school. I also did crewel work and needlepoint when I was in grade school, made a latch hook rug for Mom a few years later. More afghans followed. Then I got into making sweaters when I was in my twenties. There’s always yarn around. I’m always interested in using yarn in different ways. And I’ve always wanted to learn how to weave.

Sometimes I think I should stop reading Theresa’s blog. Not that I will, but maybe I should. This morning she posted pictures of some wonderful squares that she wove on her little Weavette hand-held loom.

I wonder if it’s too late to get this onto my Christmas list for this year…
