Fiber Dreams

One of the presents from my incredibly generous aunt and uncle was a gift certificate to Nordstrom (Dave got his own gift certificate from them, his is to Crate and Barrel). I don’t shop at Nordstrom very often. Most of the stuff I like there is way out of my price range. But I love their shoe department. I haven’t had new shoes for ages. Simply ages. The ones I’ve been wearing to death I got there, eons ago. Some Amalfis. As you can see, the bottoms are pretty worn. The gift certificate was quite generous. So I went hog wild and bought three pairs of shoes! I was smart this time, too (finally). Knowing that I’d be wearing the new shoes with socks, I wore some of my favorite socks to the store when Mom and I went to try on shoes. It worked like a dream. The new shoes are all quite comfy with socks on. You can see in the photos below how fine they look with my Errant Ankles socks.

Yes, two pairs are the same style in different colors. The other pair are Mary-Janes from Me Too. I’ve loved Mary-Janes since I was a kid. Look at the heel on the Jeffrey Campbell shoes. It’s a heart. What fun! I wore the Mary-Janes when I took Mom to the airport this morning. They’re soooo comfortable. It’ll be so nice tip-toeing through a puddle and not getting my feet wet.
