Fiber Dreams

I’m singularly amazed at how quickly this afghan is working up so far. So amazed that I checked my gauge, measured the afghan, did some math. Yup. I’m right on track. Stunning. It really doesn’t look like it has a circumference of fifty-five inches, does it? I didn’t think so, either. But it does. I have thirty four rows done now, and some new colors added.

Here are some more photos. I just love the texture and color changes. Most of these yarns are so soft I want to cuddle up with them. That’s a good trait in an afghan.

 

I had this cute, furry helper following me around this morning. Everywhere I went for a while, I’d turn around and she’d be sitting there. I never saw her move, she’d just appear in a new place. Sitting. Watching.

How do they do that?

Yes, I’ve been working on the second striped sock.

The color-order is opposite that in the first sock. Partly on purpose, partly not. I had thought about making them different from each other, then decided to make them the same. I tried to dig the yarn end out of the center of the new ball of yarn to do just that, and failed miserably. I guess they wanted to be different from each other. Matching, but not quite.

I did, somehow, manage to get the same amount of pink at the toe of each sock. Without even trying to. If I’d tried to, there’s no way I could have gotten it that close.
