Flowers and socks

You know what? Confetti stitching takes a long time to do. Iris 2007-03-07No really. Haven’t you noticed? Forever. Absolutely forever. A lot of the stitches in the blue petal on the right were confetti, and most of the stitches around it. No kidding. A grouping of seven or eight stitches all together, and they’re each a different color. The result looks divine, but the starting and stopping is driving me wild! Glad to finally have most of that area done, so I can move on to that pink flower that’s in the background. Hardly any confetti or color changes there. Makes for a nice change. Feather & fan socks 2007-03-07

Not a whole lot of progress on the feather and fan socks the last couple of days, but I have managed to pick up the gusset stitches and decrease them. Now just for the foot and toe! Ricki 2007-03-06

I took this picture of my orange helper yesterday, but neglected to show her to you then. She kept me under surveillance the whole time I was on the deck working with the plants, yet she was safely out of the way from all that water and dirt. At one time I looked into the family room where she was, and she was all stretched out, watching, like a queen and I was the lowly servant doing her bidding.

I understand about the confetti but what beautiful vibrant colors the petals are!

It might be a pain but it looks wonderful.

oh yes, I remember confetti stitching .. blech! The finished look though is absolutely stunning, so quite well worth it.

I love little queen Ricki. This is why I don’t have a cat (yet). I still like to be queen.

You’re in the home stretch on the socks. You’ll have a FO before you know it!
