Fiber Dreams

I’m late in sharing one of last week’s free patterns from Berroco. I actually like this one. It’s called Wanda, a sweet short-sleeved spring cardigan with nice cable detailing.

I was planning on sharing this week’s free patterns from Berroco, but they were too awful. The only thing they had going for them was that they were modeled by this woman. She’s gorgeous, but that can carry bad design only so far.

I got an update from Patternworks this morning. Well, I got it in my inbox this morning. Who knows how long it’s been stuck in the spam folder. Of the two sweaters on this page, I like the one on the lower right best. Don’t know that I’d ever knit (or wear) it—if I did it certainly wouldn’t be in that color—but I like it. Last but not least, HeartStrings FiberArts is releasing three new shawl patterns, shipping them to stores on March 29. This one’s my favorite of the three, the Ivy Trellis Lace Stole. The others are just as beautiful… Peggy’s Shawl and Faceted Gems Lace Wrap.
