Next up: socks April 3, 2007
While waiting for my first swatch for the Walker Treasury Project to dry, and figuring out what big project to knit next I’m going to start a pair of socks with the Cherry Tree Hill yarn I got the first time Kristie and I went to our LYS.
I’d been planning on the navy cable pullover, but Isabella is drawing me. I need to go stash diving to see if I have yarn for it. I have some light gray yarn that might work, but I don’t remember the gauge or fiber content…
I went pattern diving instead, and surfaced with Conwy in Nancy Bush’s Knitting on the Road. My needles are itching to start, but they have to wait until I get a couple things done.
Kristie and I got together at that LYS again yesterday, and I shopped vicariously through her. It was great fun. We She bought some white yarn to knit a baby sweater for her sister who’s due soon, some gorgeous dark blue yarn for a shawl (that stunning deep garnet mohair/silk lace yarn from Knit One Crochet Too nearly seduced us her into buying it, but it was out of the day’s budget), and a pair of Addi lace needles. I think we she did well! We learned that the U.S. supplier for Addi has sold out of the lace needles, and has sent to Germany for more—and that they don’t expect to get more in until the end of the month. I’m thinking that Addi seriously underestimated the popularity of their new line of knitting needles.

I’m glad that you were able to have some virtual S.E.X. without the investment. :) Isabella is amazing! I wish I could knit well enough to do one of those. But I don’t even have the time to practice basic knitting, so I can’t really complain. I can only wish for more time!
