A benefit April 12, 2007
I know. There are probably about a million reasons why crocheted seams are bad. I admit to having finished a sweater or two that way in the past. Right now, I’m glad. It means that this sweater that I told you about the other day was really easy to take apart. All I had to do was find each end and pull. So satisfying.
These are the pieces of the former cardigan that I hated and never wore. Along with a few pieces of yarn I collected while pulling it apart. Then I got out the ball winder and did this:
I still have to wind up
the two sleeves, but that shouldn’t take too long. They’re pretty small. I measured the gauge before I started pulling, and it’s exactly what’s called for in Isabella. Score! I don’t know yet if I have enough yarn. I’ll figure that out in the next day or two. I also have a full, untouched ball, so I just might have enough.
Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Are you starting the Isabella before me? You lucky girl!! I sure hope you have enough. My fingers are crossed.

So much yarn from such a small item! Wow!

Fingers crossed. I did like the sweater, but I think Isabella is a tad prettier.

Woohoo! I hope that you get enough yard out of it to do Isabella. :)
