There are similarities… May 9, 2007
Though I think I had a right to balk when Dave thought that my new Peace Fleece Woodland sock yarn was the same color as everything else I knit, I have to admit to that not always being the case.
Take this pile, for instance. I took some stuff upstairs earlier this morning, planning on sharing new socks with Kristie when she got here, and handing off some of the green yarn from the other hank. I stacked everything on the bar, then went and ate my breakfast. I was facing the bar while eating, and noticed the colors… There’s the cake of green yarn at the bottom, then the Conwy socks, the feather and fan socks, and the first forget-me-not sock.
Uh. Yeah. The colors are very similar. The progression from one to the next is rather remarkable, too, don’t you think?
I’m nothing, if not consistent with the colors that attract my eye.
I never did get around to casting on for the second forget-me-not sock yesterday, but I’m about to go fix that… as soon as I’m done with this post I’m going to grab my needles, sock yarn, waste yarn, crochet hook, and get going. That’s what I’m going to work on instead of visiting with Kristie this morning. Go visit her blog and wish her a speedy recovery; the poor dear’s suffering from a migraine today, so can’t come out and play.
P.S. I took some time this morning, and completely changed the way my blogroll works. Alas, I lost the fun buttons, but what I lost in cuteness I more than made up for in ease of use. I made sure that I had all the blog links entered in Bloglines, and put the links to my Bloglines folders here. Now my blogroll on my blog will be automatically updated whenever I change Bloglines. Su-weet.

Sweet setup on the blogroll, gf! I may have to pick your brain about it at the next GTG. Will you be going to Sue’s on the 19th? I hope to make it but realized the other day that it’s the day after a very busy day for me…probably my most busy day since surgery (an all-day penny rug class at the guild followed by a graduation that evening). As long as I still have the energy and I’m not hurting, I plan to make it that day to Sue’s house.
BTW, I tagged you on my blog. :-)

LOL at the colors. Too funny! I find that I get stuck in a color rut sometimes, too. But, who cares? If you’re enjoying it, that’s all that matters. Leave it to Dave to notice a pattern, though. ;)
