Just one size smaller May 10, 2007
It always amazes me what a difference it makes to the finished item when you go down a needle size.
Here you see the new Forget-Me-Not sock knit with size 0 needles resting on top of the completed one knit on size 1 needles. Both have 64 stitches. I lined up the right side of each sock. That’s 5/8 of an inch difference, which makes a 1-1/4 inch circumference change. That’s going to fit my ankle much better, and I’ll be able to keep my picot edge. When I’m done with sock two, I’ll be frogging sock one and re-knitting it on the smaller needles.
Booking
Thought I’d do Deb’s Booking Through Thursday this week.
Where don’t you read?
The shower. I don’t read in the shower. Um. That’s the only place I can think of where I don’t read. I’ve been known to read in all the obvious places, plus while sitting on the stairs, walking or standing about anywhere, in the car, sitting on a railing, in public in a variety of spots, while eating, in the kitchen, bathroom… I’ve even read while in the tub.
Birdies
I don’t know how well you can see this, if really at all, but there’s a nest on top of that post, with
little baby birds in it. I wish I could have gotten a picture when one of the parents shows up with food. So cute. It’s a lovely spot, about thirty feet or so off the ground. It’s terribly convenient if you’re small and have wings, but nobody who doesn’t is going to bother you a bit. Even the cat can’t get to it, though Ricki would love to. She sits on the deck right above that nest by the hour gazing down, wishing.

That *does* make a huge difference. They should fit perfectly now!
Although I’m sure Ricki is feeling very frustrated, I’m so glad she can’t get to those sweet baby birds. How precious!

That’s quite a difference a needle size makes! Glad the new size will fit you better! My shampoo and conitioner bottles have all their info in mutltiple languages, and I’ve tried to figure out what word means what compared to the English while showering. My days start slowly.

Hi there, found you from Deb’s BTT. I don’t read in showers too. Wet books are a big no-no to me. LOL.
