Knitterly stuffs August 7, 2007
We all know how fabulous Anne’s bee shawl (Bee Fields) is. But now there’s a stole version of it, and one of her test knitters knit it in black. You have to see it. It’s fabulous.
I knit for a bit on all three of my projects yesterday. The fuzzy gray sleeve is a little longer, the Clapotis shawl a little wider, the mystery wing a little wingier (I know it’s not a word—I’m not even sorry). Nothing, nothing has progressed enough to be worthy of a photo. That I am sorry about, but what can a poor knitter do?
I updated the Forget-Me-Not sock pattern this morning. It now includes row numbers on the chart, a brief note about the even numbered rows, a fixed typo, and I typed up written instructions for the lace pattern. All these mods have been made to the online version and to the .pdf version. Well, except for the written lace pattern. That’s only in .pdf format, and you’ll have to download it if you want to use it. It’s only one page, no images, should download in a snap. I want to forward huge thank yous to Sue Ann (found the typo) and Yvonne (suggested the chart explanation) for letting me know what to do to fix the pattern.
Let’s see… The new MagKnits is out. Nothing’s calling to me to knit it, though you may feel differently on that. Sandi Wiseheart interviewed Eunny Jang for Knitting Daily again. Looks like a good interview, post production of Eunny’s first issue of Interweave Knits. I’m looking forward to reading it. Hopefully later today. Knitty is running their calendar contest again. If you’ve ever knit anything from their magazine you can enter. Be sure to get your entries in by August 17.

That Bee Stole is drop dread gorgeous! Are you going to add that to your project list? I think I hear it calling you, Laura…
