Sweatshirt progress August 8, 2007
Finally a little progress to show you. There’s a visible sleeve on one side of the sweatshirt sweater now. It’s gotten small enough in diameter that I made the move to all double pointed needles. It’s much easier, really, than using a circular for part of it, and two double pointed needles for one short stretch. I’m chipping away at the decreases. When those are done I won’t be far from finishing this first sleeve, then I can move on to the next.
Dave, of course, thinks the thing looks quite bizarre at this point. He’s not quite sure what’s really going on. ![]()
On another note, the additional three balls of Rowan Tapestry arrived from the U.K. with yesterday’s mail… and the Addi lace needles. These are fine needles, fine. I really like them. I’m definitely looking forward to using them as soon as possible. With the arrival of the three new balls of Tapestry, I am assured that I will have plenty of yarn for a nice, big Clapotis shawl.
Because I’m experiencing the blues (this month’s cycle has been brutal—what a roller coaster!), because I’m not getting much in the way of comments, because I don’t have time right now to go read other people’s blogs to remind them I’m here and leave them the comments they so desperately deserve (I’m so far behind it isn’t even funny), because I’m up to my armpits in learning a new way of building web pages (which is totally cool, by the way), because I’m in emotional need of several days worth of uninterrupted knitting, because we’ve been too busy lately and are looking forward to yet another very full weekend and all I really want to do tonight is stay home and knit but can’t because tonight is the second to the last of the summer concerts down in Tustin and we really enjoy going to them and I’ll be fine once we get there, because I feel like I’ll scream if the phone rings one more time today, my darling husband will be bringing home chocolate for me this evening, and I’m cutting this post short.
Hope your week is going better than mine.

Sorry you’ve been having a bad week. The chocolate should help. Hang in there!

Sorry to hear that you are totally overloaded. I hope you get some time to yourself soon so that you can unwind. And you have to give me a hint about the new way you’re learning to build webpages. :)

You know, I forgot to warn you this month! (Not only are we on the same yarn wavelength, but we’re on the same - albeit phantom - hormonal cycle.)
However it looks like you figured it out on your own no problem.
I went for a brownie “frosted” in creamy organic peanut butter with a drizzle of hot fudge sauce as a little emotional boost just the other night myself……………chocolate is such a wonderful thing, isn’t it? We really do owe those Mayan’s a lot, when you sit down and think about it.
