Candy Wrappers 2007-11-11 1

  • Yarn: Fleece Artist Basic Merino, in Blue Lagoon
  • Needles: Size 1 DPNs, set of 5
  • Also need: 2 cable needles
  • Gauge: 7.5 sts/inch in pattern stitch
  • Notes: Once I got used to the unusual 5-stitch twist, these socks all but flew off my needles. They were really fun to knit. The stitch pattern goes down the heel, giving it a different texture than most sock heels. Dave thought the pattern looked like candy wrappers, hence the name. We agreed that these would be great in a red/green variegated yarn, that the colors would give the socks a very festive feel.
