Upgrade
My wonderful, dear, sweet husband helped me with upgrading WordPress this morning. It all went without a hitch, just as it should, though a couple odd things showed up… like a super-duper old sidebar. After I figured out where that came from, I decided to give a stab at using widgets for my sidebar. It seems to be going fairly well so far—except a couple of the automatic picture things aren’t working. Yet.
Ooh, I was able to finally add a new page for contacting me. It’s a nice little form (generated by a plug-in) that when you fill it out and send it it will send me an email message without leaving me email address out there for spammers and bots to get a hold of. Woot!
There will (hopefully) be some more new features that I can use, now that I have the latest and greatest version of WordPress, instead of something that’s hopelessly outdated. Score.
Sizzle
I knit furiously away at Sizzle over the weekend. I’m almost done! Only the armholes and side seams need to be finished up. I was originally going to block the two pieces before doing any seaming, or knitting the neck- and armbands, but with the way this yarn grows width-wise when it gets wet, I didn’t think that would be a good idea. What I decided to do is to seam the shoulders (done), knit the neckband (done), knit the armbands, then block it, then seam the sides. That should work, don’t you think?
By the way, I love how the sweater shaping worked out, making it pinch in at the waist like that. It’s all done magically with darts. Clever, huh? Sure wish I’d thought of it. You can bet, though, that I’ll use that idea some day.
Anyway, the sweater is almost done. The Vine Lace socks are also almost done—just another inch or two to go until I can start the toe decreases.
As I finish up these projects I’ll go back to knitting some lace, and working up a design or two that have been floating around in my brain for a while. I’ve been pouring over stitch dictionaries, charting uncharted stitches, and making some tentative plans. It’s all so much fun that it’s occasionally difficult to keep at the current projects! But I persevere. The lace is the reward. As are the new sweater and socks.

The sweater looks great! I like it goes in at the waist too, it helps the “non-waisted” (*cough, me).
I wonder though, is it possible to make one, somehow, that helps minimize the bust?
I like the upgrade!
