Patterns January 8, 2008
I’ve changed the links on all my pattern pages so that payment goes directly through PayPal, and avoids the download service. They were about to start charging me a ton of money to provide that service, and I couldn’t have that. I have other plans. In the meantime, I’ll email patterns out to you when I receive your payments.
So, if you go to any of my pattern pages, and do not see a bright orange button, then you’ll need to refresh the page—well, except for the two free patterns, which you don’t need to pay for at all.
Edited to add: I take this all back. At least for one more month the PayLoadz download system will be active here. It’s a lot easier for everyone. It does cost a ton of money, but it’s better than missing sales!
I got email from that service this morning telling me that someone tried to download the pattern, but wouldn’t tell me who they were. Whoever you are, please try it again after making sure you have the correct purchase link.
On another note, I forgot to tell you yesterday that the blue jade stitch markers from Hide and Sheep got here on Saturday. They’re wonderful, exactly what I wanted. Now I’m all set to try out the patterns in Cat Bordhi’s New Pathways for Sock Knitters.
I made reasonable progress on the shawl border yesterday. I should be able to reach the corner this afternoon at lunch, if not start around it. Even if I don’t start rounding the corner at lunch, I should be able to do it this evening after dinner. Progress!

Good luck rounding the corner, hope all goes well. Don’t you just love the little tin. I actually put all my little stitch markers in it, it’s easier to find in my notions bag.
I was watching some of Cat Bordhi’s You Tube videos the other night, I learned some new things I wasn’t grasping, like an M1, I just did a kfb instead. Now I can M1. Yay!!!

So which patterns are you eyeing in Cat’s book? Are you going to start with the baby practice sock?
So did you round the corner on the border? I didn’t get hardly enough knitting accomplished yesterday. I would LOVE to complete the left side rosebuds today though. Fingers crossed.
