Things

I have two finishes to show you (Sizzle and Garden Party), but no pictures of either of them yet. I overslept this morning, and am way, way behind on all the things I need to do. So… just a couple of things that I’ve been collecting to share with you.

I now have a blogiversary (blogoversary?) countdown button in my sidebar. Totally fun. I saw it over on Vicki’s blog when I was there to find out about sign-ups for the ABC Along. By the way, there’s a Ravelry group for that, too. If you’re interested.

Beth, a dear friend, sadly blogless, sent out email to all her knitting friends back in December. You’ve got to go see this knit Ferrari. It’s life-sized. Yeah. Go look. You’ll see. It’s amazing.

Since I finished knitting Garden Party at lunch yesterday, I had to start a new project. This is it. Mingus by Cookie A. The pattern and yarn that Kristie gave me last week. Whooshed to the top of my knitting to-do list. Just like that. Had to get my needles into that yarn. It’s so… smooshy! It’s lovely. Wonderful.

I can’t say that knitting one of Cookie’s lace patterns is mindless, but it is a nice change from having to think about every little thing as I knit along, wondering if my plans will work. I know Cookie’s plans will work. There’s the finished sock and pattern to prove it.

I’m so thrilled that you’ve already started the sock! I can’t wait to see pictures as it progresses. You’ve photographed it beautiful. The color looks dead on!
