Knitting calendar giveaway January 25, 2008
I got a pile of swag at TNNA, and have yet to really go through everything that I brought home. One thing that got unearthed yesterday afternoon, one thing that I’d completely forgotten about, is this calendar from a Korean yarn company, Zaol.
It’s a nice calendar, a desktop, stand-up style affair, with pages that flip to the next month. Both sides have the same month on them, so it doesn’t matter if you stand in front of it or in back of it, you’ll see the current month. There are some great sweaters pictured using Zaol’s yarns, one for each month, but no patterns. The calendar is 7.25 inches (18 cm) wide x 8.25 inches (24 cm) high.
I have no need of this perfectly lovely knitting calendar. And no room for it. My desk is much too small. (Evidently Ricki didn’t want it, either.)
What I’m going to do is this: I’m going to give it away. I’m going to mail this calendar to someone who wants it. Yeah, you’ll miss January, but you’ll get to use it for the rest of this year.
What you need to do, if you want the calendar, is to reply to this post, and tell me why you want it, before the end of the day, Pacific time, on Monday, January 28. On Tuesday, January 29, 2008, I’ll use a random number generator to choose the winner. I’ll let you know you won, get your address from you, and send off the calendar.

At the risk of the random pattern generator never picking #1, I’ll jump right in here and say I love patterns derived from Asian sources. They seem to have two feet firmly planted - one in the innovated, and one in the classic. And if dh doesn’t like to look at it he can flip it around when he’s at my desk!

Well, I can’t offer a particularly deserving reason why I should have the calendar - only that I would like to have it!

Is it too late? It’s 6:15 on Monday. I think I need the calendar because honestly, I’ve never seen a knitting calendar before and I always have to click on the time/date thingy on my computer to find out what the date is. That is why I need this calendar.
Thanks Laura.
