Less than 1 gram

I’m very glad that I didn’t try to knit that extra pattern repeat before starting the edging pattern. Very glad. When I was done knitting I had less than 1 gram of yarn left as it was. Talk about close!

Now it looks like this…

Flower Faire blocking

I got a lot done on my Illusions sock yesterday evening at the knit-together. More than I had since the previous Monday! I should start the heel flap at lunch today. I got to see Kristie’s finished Illusions socks. She hasn’t posted about them yet (ahem), but they are done. And they’re wonderful. Even her husband likes them. He even wants a pair!

Errata

I was able to make two charts into one on two different pages just the day before releasing the Garden Party pattern. And I forgot to make the corresponding changes to the written instructions. I didn’t catch it, and neither did any of my test knitters. Oops. Gads. Good thing Wendy found it. Thank you, Wendy. Please check out my errata page. If you need an updated copy of the chart and your download link has expired, please let me know. Sorry for any confusion this may cause you.

Saturday

I told you back in January—briefly—that I’d finally met my Leisure Arts rep, Charlie. Charlie called up early last week to see if I needed to order anything (alas, no), and let it drop that he’d be in Anaheim at a crafts convention soon. Arriving on Saturday, actually. In the afternoon. And he didn’t have any commitments until the show opened the next morning. I talked to Dave about it. It was obvious. We had to invite him to dinner. I called him up to ask, and barely had the words out of my mouth before he said, Yes! We owed our next door neighbors dinner, too, so the five of us sat ourselves down to Dave’s mouth-watering west coast clam chowder (both red and white), sour dough bread, beer, and homemade apple pie for dessert. Dave-Charlie-me

I got Stephanie to take a picture of the three of us. She took several shots, and laughed heartily. There we are in front of the fireplace. Charlie looked a bit, um, caged, in all three pictures.

In spite of the trapped look on Charlie’s face in that photo, we all had a nice time, good visit. And talked until way past my bedtime. It was great fun.

Just so you know, Charlie, we’ll hold you to that gumbo offer.

On another note entirely, thank you, Karen!

That is TOO close. Wow! How many yards are in the skein? (obviously not enough)

I’m SO SORRY we didn’t catch that pattern error. I feel like crap! Some test-knitters we are, huh? Don’t answer that.

Charlie looks so different without his suit and “flower”. LOL It sounds like the perfect evening with the perfect dinner. My mouth was watering just reading what you had.
