A week ago today

Last week Anne wrote a post that referred to me and linked here to my blog. That day I got 525 hits to my blog! I know. I was amazed. Astounded. All’s back to normal now, with my just-over-100 hits-per-day thing going on. I liked getting all that attention, though. It was fun.

I finished up Mingusthe first Mingus sock this morning by grafting the toe. I would have done that last night, but thought I was doing well just to get the knitting part of it done. I was pretty tired by then. I’ll cast on later today for the second sock. I love how the twisted rib flows down the back of the leg to form the heel flap.

You know what else is cool? If I don’t make the cuffs as high, I’ll be able to make a second pair of socks out of this ball of yarn. I think. We’ll see.

I rounded the second corner yesterday, so I’m officially half way done with the border. I am again wondering if I’ll have enough black to make it all the way around the stole. I’m knitting faster, just in case. Not like the actual knitting speed has anything to do with whether or not I’ll run out of yarn, but I’m knitting faster anyway. In case it helps. It can’t hurt, can it? Gads. I hope not.

Thanks for the comments on my flowers and shawl - it’s nice to be seeing spring!

I was talking with Anne just the other day and she mentioned that one of her fiber-dying friends has said that her sales really shoot up whenever Anne mentions her. Amazing the way the internet creates connections.

I love the color of Mingus. Looks like fun!

I hope that your knitting faster isn’t like driving your car faster and the miles per gallon goes down…

I enjoy seeing what you make!

Well, at least you will know sooner! *chuckles. I always seem to speed up when I am nearing the end of something. ;)

Mingus looks so flipping inviting, Laura! Even I’m tempted to pick up and knit a sock. Even just a little bit. :-)
