Tilt
While waiting for the second ball of black Malabrigo Lace to arrive, I’ve so far made good progress on the brown sock. It’s going well. The sock has even decided on a name for itself: Tilt.
Yup. It’s the same stitch pattern I tried to use with the Figgy Pudding yarn, but we all know that that didn’t work out the way I’d planned. I still really like the stitch pattern. And the brown Smooshy has been calling to me. More like pathetically whining, actually. So I paired them. It’s a match made in heaven.
Dulcavina
I received confirmation yesterday afternoon that Cathy at Twist got the yarn in the mail to me. I’m hoping—it’s entirely possible—that it arrives today. Fingers crossed.
I imagine that some time in the next couple of weeks (give or take) my test knitters will be done with me, and Dulcavina will be ready to release. Let me know if you want notification when the pattern is out.
Sphinx
Yesterday morning Ricki helped me
take pictures of Tilt and Dulcavina. Being a cat, she’s curious about everything, and likes to get her furry little face as close as possible to things so that she can sniff them properly. This particular picture doesn’t look like much of anything when it’s blown up, but small like this you can really see her sweet nose and mouth.
Later, when the sun was shining warmly on the deck outside this room, Ricki decided to take advantage of it, and did her best imitation of a sphinx.
