Earnest

The mitts are actually done now, but these photos are from yesterday morning, when they weren’t quite done yet. As you can see, there wasn’t much left to be done on them. Finishing them up didn’t take long at all.

Laura in EarnestSince I was nearly done, I took a moment or two to wind up the hank of Laura in Earnest from Posh Yarns. Oh! It’s lovely. It’s so soft. I started knitting with it as soon as I was done with the second mitt, and am in love.

The sock is going well so far, but alas, no time for photos today. There really isn’t much to see yet, anyway—just some ribbing—so I’ll show you a few pictures of the stuff wound into a ball. Yum.

Yes, I know. It’s a pathetic attempt at a blog post, but I wanted to get something out there before we head out to the pool party. It’s the annual big bash. Can’t be late! We’re bringing pasta salad with grilled curry chicken. Yum. Dave made it.

I’ll leave you with this little video a friend came across. And I thought BBQ sauce was for eating! Don’t let the word “redneck” in the title put you off. This guy is amazing. Truly.

What a great video! My son and I were trying to guess what he was making, boy we were way off!

And as always- beautiful knitting! :)

I hope the pool party was fun. It sure sounds like the food you brought was yummy.

My chin was on the floor watching the video. And I thought BBQ sauce was just for eating.
