Very little July 3, 2008
I haven’t ripped out the huge bag yet. I did some poking around on Ravelry, and found Angela’s Fabulous Felted Bag (on Ravelry). Before and after felting sizes, and gauge are all listed on the pattern. I had one little thing that I wanted clarified, asked, and received a very nice response from Angela within a day. Thank you! My bag will be a solid color, since I have plenty of green yarn to knit it in. If this works out well, I just might dig around in my stash to see if I have more feltable wool in colors that would work. We’ll see.
The cabled socks are coming along well. I’ve finished up two full pattern repeats, and am ready to start the heel flap.
Dave and I have been working on the new web site, between and amongst everything else that’s going on. It’s getting close.
My friend Beth sent me a link to J. K. Rowling’s commencement speech at Harvard. She sent it to me a couple weeks ago. I finally watched it today. Before listening to it, on the surface, I wondered if having her give the commencement speech was a really a very good idea. After listening to it I am convinced that it was a fabulous idea. She was thoughtful, sincere, humorous when appropriate, and had some great things to say. Well done, Ms. Rowling.
Kristie posted a totally cool random image thing on her blog the other day. I thought I’d play along. She said it’s been circulating blogland lately. I haven’t seen it before, but doesn’t mean a thing. I haven’t had time to read anyone’s blog in ages.

I’m glad you found a new project you like.
Very cool mosaic, but my mouth is now watering from seeing the creme brulee.
