Pathetic September 17, 2008
Absolutely pathetic. Nearly a week between blog posts. Gak! I’ve been knitting. When I’ve had time. The stole is getting big. I’ve started the faun’s eyes, but only just. Haven’t knit on it at all since Monday. Mom’s in town on a tour thing, staying in a nearby hotel. She skipped the tour schedule yesterday, and we spent the day together. We went down to Laguna Beach, had lunch at BJ’s (yum), and walked on the beach for a while. The fog was in all day, though it was light. Because of the fog the temps were a bit lower than normal, and the beach was practically empty. It was lovely. ![]()
Last Friday Dave and I got supplies to make more blocking wire sets. Saturday found Dave in the garage dealing with the plastic tubing. He cuts the tubes down to length, sands, buffs and polishes, and they come out looking great. After he’s done with them, it’s my job to count out the blocking wires, clean them up, put them into the tubes, and label them. A bunch of sets are completely done. I was hoping to get more of them done today, but no such luck. I have got to spend some time knitting today.
If you’re going to Stitches West in Santa Clara in February, be sure to sign up for your classes right away. Sign ups started today.
The big, big news here is that Elann.com is now one of my customers. I sent them a big box of patterns yesterday, will be sending up a few more when they come back from the printer, as well a a bunch of blocking wire sets. If you’re set on getting a printed copy of one of my patterns, or want to buy the pattern and yarn at the same time, be sure to see the retail shops that carry them.

And thanks for the link to Stitches West; not that I know if I’m going, but it’ll certainly be a motivator!
