In the Woods

In the Woods

I’m being a bit lazy at the moment. I’m not going to upload all the pictures I have so that you can view them in my blog. You’ll just have to go over to the In the Woods pattern page in my shop to see them. There are lots.

  • Pattern: In the Woods, of my own devising.
  • Yarn: Posh Yarn, Cecilia, in Escapade. Cecilia is a 50/50 blend of cashmere and silk, and is cobweb weight.
  • Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm), Knit Picks Options.
  • Elapsed time: August 26 to September 28, 2008.
  • Skills: Lace knitting, chart reading, SSP, double YO.
  • Notes: The shawl is knit all in one piece. The border is knit at the same time, so when you’re done, you’re done. This yarn is lighter than air, and so fine that I can’t hardly believe it. Yet it’s warm! Oh, and so, so soft.

I will share this one extra photo with you here. When I got back from my appointment today, guess who was taking a nap on my new lace shawl. Yup. Sweet Ricki. I didn’t want to disturb her, but I did. After I snapped this picture. She was such a careful kitty. She didn’t snag one little thread when she curled up for her name. She did glare at me when I moved her, though.

It’s gorgeous (all the photos)! And the cat picture is priceless. What is it with cats and lace? (Mine prefer it while I’m blocking, when at all possible.)

Lovely Laura, really pretty and so delicate in the Cecilia, beautiful. Definately on my ‘to do’ list :)

;) no shawl is complete without being properly “tested”.

That’s so beautiful! Of course you know I must see it in person. :-)
