Paperwork done. For now.

Most of this morning was taken up with doing a bunch of that sniggling paperwork that always takes more time than it seems like it should. That bit is done for now, though. It’s amazing all the things I can think of to do when there’s something that needs doing. I’m procrastinating. Again. I was a master at it in college—anything and everything to avoid doing the dreaded homework… even cleaning the apartment, doing dishes, taking out the trash, laundry, errands, grocery shopping… You know how it goes. I’m sure you do.

Do the Bag ThingI had a little time at one point yesterday—actually I didn’t, it was another case of procrastination—so was visiting Kim’s blog. She has a great button in her sidebar, Do the Bag Thing. It’s Easy to be Green. I had to nab it. I mean, I’ve been taking my own bags to the grocery store, so I thought it a great button to have on my blog. I’ve done a number of searches now, though, and can’t for the life of me find out where this button originated. Is there a site I can link to? Someone’s blog who came up with this? I’ve found two other blogs that have this button, but they don’t link anywhere, either. If you know where this came from, please let me know so I can link to it. Crossroads

I got a bunch done on the brown dress yesterday, though didn’t finish up the back. Yet. Very close. Will definitely get that done today, now that I have the neck decreases figured out. Yup. That’s what stopped me last night. We were in the middle of a movie, Crossroads, when I got to that point, and I didn’t want to run off to do a bunch of quick calculations. I would have messed them up, because math in a hurry never works. Besides, I didn’t want to interrupt the movie. Instead, the partial sock got ripped back to the ribbing. I browsed through the stitch dictionary that was conveniently sitting right there, and I think I found something that’ll work. Fingers crossed. It’s just a four-stitch repeat, so it should be easy to grade. Hopefully. We’ll see how far I get with it this weekend.

You’re right. No photos makes for a boring blog post. Sorry about that. It seems that there are some limits to this whole procrastination thing. A few, anyway.

Ah, yes, procrastination, I know it well. In fact, I am engaging in it even as we speak (I should really be doing my reading for the classes I’m teaching next week, sigh…)!

It’s sad to admit this, but I am the Queen of Procrastination. Really. I could teach classes on it since I’m so good at it. It’s my one major flaw that I’d love to fix, but I’ll have to work on that tomorrow. lol. :-D

I hate doing paperwork and I work in an office!! I don’t mind it at work, it just the home stuff that sits there mocking me. I always take my own bags to the store. Sometimes I ask for paper because we have to return our bottles for deposit refund so I put them in paper and save the paper bags for reuse. They get torn and nasty after a few uses so I do have to get new once in a while.
